When adding cards to a pre-existing chassis or changing from hybrid mode to native mode, be sure to check that the cards you have are compatible with your software. Certain cards, especially newer cards like the WS-X6148A-GE-TX, may not be compatible with the software you have chosen to run. For best compatibility, upgrade your switch to 8.4(2a) or newer if you're running Cat OS (hybrid mode), or 12.2(18)SXF or newer if you're running IOS (native mode).
