TYPES OF SWITCHES

Cisco LAN Access

Local Area Network (LAN) access is a combination of switches, cables, and routers. These enterprise access switches connect PCs, access points, and IP phones, usually within a single location. While some of the switches listed here are no longer sold by the OEM, Curvature still sells and supports these devices and has stock ready to ship at a moment’s notice.

Catalyst 9300, 9200, 3850, 3750, 3750X, 3750G, 3750E, 3650, 2960X, 2960XR, 2960L, 2960+, C1300, C1200, C1000
Cisco LAN Core and Distribution

Local Area Network (LAN) core switches are usually located at the backbone, or physical core, of a network and offer high-capacity capabilities. Distribution switches, on the other hand, collect and aggregate data from access switches and send it to core switches. When it comes to switches in the Cisco portfolio, whether they are previous generation, legacy, or current generation, Curvature has them in stock.

Catalyst 9600, 9500, 9400, 6500, 4500
Cisco Data Center

Curvature offers a wide variety of data center switches. Data center switches are scalable, which makes them great for programming and automation. They are high-performance, high-density switches created for large organizations and cloud providers that depend on virtualization. Data center switches can be used to anchor a one-tier/flat mesh or fabric architecture, a two-tier/leaf-spine architecture, layer 3, or used throughout the data center. Some of the switches listed here are no longer sold by the OEM, but we have them in stock and ready to ship to you.

Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, 3000, 2000
Cisco Industrial Ethernet

Industrial ethernet switches were created for extreme operating conditions, including temperatures as cold as -40C/-40F or as hot as 75C/167F, as well as shocks, earthquakes, and other natural disasters. Some of the switches listed below are no longer sold by the OEM, but we have them in stock and ready to ship to you.

5000, 4000, 3000, 2000, 1000, IE9300
Cisco LAN Compact

Local Area Network (LAN) compact switches allow multiple devices to communicate with one another. They are smaller switches, which are designed for branch offices so you can save space in your network cabinets. Some of the switches listed below are no longer sold by the OEM, but we have them in stock and ready to ship to you.

Catalyst 9200CX, 3560C/CG, 3560CX, 2960C/CG, C1300, C1200, C1000
Cisco SAN MDS

Storage area network (SAN) Multilayer Direct Switches (MDS) have many layers of infrastructure and storage-management abilities. Due to their flexibility, highly scalable storage networks can be constructed, allowing for increased security and wired and wireless administration through a single interface (unified network). One of the many benefits of SAN MDS is the reduced cost of storage hardware.

9700, 9500, 9300, 9200, 9100
Cisco Metro Ethernet

Metro ethernet enables multi-point connectivity of point-to-point services over a metropolitan area. Offering reliability, performance, and scalability, metro ethernet is a great choice for manufacturers, corporations, and service providers of all sizes. Plus, its low latency allows for the safe and secure transfer of large amounts of video or data.

Why Curvature?

Most data centers and enterprise networks operate with IT infrastructure from multiple OEMs. When it’s time to refresh or upgrade, having an industry-leading supplier like Curvature gives you a distinct advantage.

In addition, when an asset reaches End of Life (EOL), End of Service Life (EOSL), or End of Sale (EOS), you still need reliable equipment to keep your data center running. Curvature sources hardware long after OEMs stop manufacturing or servicing these parts.

Business Benefits

The benefits of optimizing your enterprise and data center networks with equipment from Curvature cannot be overstated:

Reduction of overall costs leads to increased return on investment (ROI) on IT infrastructure
Sourcing hard-to-find or EOSL parts
Data center managers can rest easy knowing that hardware is optimized, and service is quick and efficient
Improved performance, reliability, and scalability
Match your existing infrastructure
Free up resources and capital to reinvest in other projects that require upgraded technology
